Dr Ajith Kumar A.K. is a senior Consultant and former Head of Department in Critical Care Medicine at Manipal Hospital in Bangalore. He obtained his MD and DNB in Respiratory Medicine from GS Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai, and thereafter worked as Senior Resident at JIPMER Pondicherry. He has also obtained the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC) after having worked at the Frankston & Western Hospitals in Victoria, Australia. He was awarded with the Fellowship of Indian College of Critical Care Medicine (FICCM) in 2016. Dr Ajith Kumar A.K. is an enthusiastic member of the Intensive Care teaching programs of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) and is the immediate past chairman of ISCCM Bangalore Chapter. He is a teacher and examiner of various courses in Critical Care. Dr Kumar has also been a contributor and reviewer in various national and international journals. He presently holds the position of Accreditation Secretary of ISCCM. Dr Kumar’s areas of special interest include Sepsis and ARDS.
Dr Pradeep Rangappa is a senior Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at Columbia Asia Referral Hospital in Bangalore. After completing DNB in Internal Medicine at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, he underwent training in Australia and was awarded the Fellowship of the Joint Faculty of Internal Care Medicine (FJFICM). He has also acquired the European Diploma in Internal Care Medicine (EDIC) and Post-Graduate Diploma in ECHO Cardiography from the University of Melbourne. Dr Rangappa is a respected academician in the field of Critical Care Medicine. He has held positions of Secretary, Executive Committee member and Accreditation Secretary of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM)- Bangalore Chapter. Dr Rangappa is presently the Vice President of the ISCCM.
