Snehalata Dhayagude DA, FRCA (UK) has been practising pediatric anesthesia for last 50 years and presently is a Consultant at the Breach Candy Hospital and Research centre. She was former Head of Department of Pediatric Anesthesia at B J Wadia Hospital for Children,
Mumbai. She worked as freelance Pediatric Anesthesiologist at various institutions and also BARC hospital. She started the annual Pediatric Anesthesia Lecture series for postgraduate students in 1998. She was Founder President of the Indian Association of Pediatric
Anesthesiologists, (IAPA) which was registered in 2006. She represented India at the World Assembly of Pediatric Anesthesia at Washington DC in 2012. She has contributed chapters in three books and articles in journals. She was a Guest Editor for the World Clinics – Anesthesia, Pain, and Critical Care, Pediatric Anesthesia Issue, and the journal of Neonatal Anesthesia Society. She is an active participant in academic activities of IAPA, Breach Candy Hospital and Neonatal Anesthesia Society. She was invited as Guest of Honour in the third conference of Neonatal Anesthesia Society. Her vast repertoire of knowledge and experience has been the driving force behind the creation of this book.
Nandini M Dave MD DNB MNAMS PGDHHM PGDMLS is Senior Consultant and Head of Department of Anesthesiology at Narayana Health SRCC Children’s Hospital, Mumbai. Previously she was Professor (Additional) and Head of Department of Pediatric Anesthesia
at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. She established the DM (Pediatric Anesthesia) course in KEM Hospital in 2014, the first in the country. At SRCC Children’s Hospital she conducts the IAPA Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship and is faculty for the FNB
course in Pediatric Anesthesia. She is a recipient of several honors including the Hargobind Foundation and JASCAP Foundation scholarships, and the IAPA (Hon.) Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia. She is an AHA certified Instructor for ACLS and PALS and an ASPA certified PPLS instructor. She has a long career in academics, and has several publications and book chapters to her credit. She is a reviewer for several reputed national journals, and is on the editorial board of the journal of Pediatric Anesthesia. She is an active member of the Indian Association of Pediatric Anesthesiologists (IAPA), having held various executive positions at the state and national levels, and participates regularly in national and regional conferences.
Neerja Bhardwaj MD is a Former Professor and Head, Department of Anaesthesia & Intensive Care, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh (India) who superannuated in 2022. She has had a long and active academic
career and is still active in writing, editing and reviewing research publications and books. She has about 80 national and international research publications in reputed journals as well as 6 book chapters to her credit. She was instrumental in starting the DM program in
Pediatric Anaesthesia & Intensive Care at PGIMER, Chandigarh. She was the convener of the specialist board, set up by National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences to start a 2-year FNB course in Pediatric Anesthesia and formulate the curriculum. She is also a member
of editorial board of Pediatric Anesthesia Journal. She is the President of Indian Association of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists (IAPA) and has held other executive posts in the past. She was awarded Honorary Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia by IAPA.
